Château La Tour de Mons, Margaux - 2020
After hand-picking and careful sorting of the grapes in the winery, batches are placed in separate stainless steel tanks depending on their origin. Low temperature fermentation over an extended period allows soft extraction. The wine will then age for 12 months in French oak barrels, 30% of which are new each year.
The wine displays a very broad aromatic range that combines woody, spicy and fruity notes. On the nose we have aromas of dried flowers, ripe red fruits, cinnamon and subtle earthy nuance. Elegant and distinguished, the palate in rich in density and concentration with a fine tannic structure. It has intense flavours of redcurrant, cherry, liquorice and light mineral hints. This wine has excellent cellaring potential, being ready to enjoy now, but with the capacity to evolve favourably in bottle until 2035.
